Wild Grief is rooted in the belief that nature itself is medicine. Drawing from forest bathing (shinrin-yoku), somatic practices, and “blue mind” science, we create experiences that lower stress, regulate the nervous system, and restore balance.

Grief and transition take many forms—loss of a loved one, divorce, career change, parenting stress, or the quiet weight of daily life. Wild Grief offers a way to step outside, slow down, and let the natural world support both body and mind.

Research shows that time in nature lowers cortisol, reduces blood pressure, boosts immune function, and calms the nervous system. These benefits matter whether you are navigating profound loss or simply seeking more steadiness in everyday life.

Meet the Team

Wild Grief was founded by Natasha Sizlo, grief guide, forest therapy practitioner, and bestselling author. Drawing from lived experience, grief training, and nature-based practices, she leads offerings in California and beyond.

For retreats in Alaska and other destinations, Wild Grief partners with trusted local facilitators, each bringing their own expertise and deep connection to place. Together, they create immersive experiences where people can step outside, reset their nervous systems, and reconnect with themselves in the presence of the natural world.
